  • What does the forum image mean?

I took a look at the image Bernard found for the new DNM forum, and immediately loved it. It's Study of a hand, by DaVinci. (I guess the copyright has ended..)

I see an upside down peace sign, two relaxed fingers pointing softly downward. I think it wasn't likely his intention, but Bernard managed to capture something about me in a clever visual metaphor - I'm soft, and so are my hands, and they work with gravity most of the time; but I won't be "peaceful" toward people who would denigrate gentle skin stretching as being not worth the respect of the PT profession: a peace sign that points down, in this case, on this forum, is me drawing my line in the sand, and donning armor for the long fight ahead.

Very clever Bernard - maybe it was a completely non-conscious choice, one you thought was entirely random, but you know me well even though we have never met. :thumbs_up
I couldn't have picked a better visual metaphor if I'd looked through every picture on the planet. Thank you!

I read this for the first time today, Diane. I previously thought you had drawn that picture, so I guess your art is in good company.
