Really, it's just a matter of connecting the dots. What bogs me down the most is the thalamus and brainstem. Still can't remember what nuclei lives where and does what.

come back to Vancouver!
Diane,
If you can swing a teaching gig in Vancouver I will move heaven and earth to get there! I can't financially manage a trip to Quebec but Vancouver?....Heck, I would swim across "the moat" between Vancouver Island and the mainland to learn from you.
Wishing and Hoping,
Paula G.

Gee Paula, the possibility of disappointing you is now huge.
Anyway, contact Michael Reoch in post 47. I think he's working out some kinks these days re: maybe something next summer in Vancouver.Diane

no pressure, Diane
Truly, no pressure. Even if I can't be taught by you in person, I consider myself lucky to have this form of exposure to your ideas. Many thanks for all the ideas you gift to us, your DNM manual, the slide show and book deconstruction/summaries. :clap2:

I think I'll have to pass by your neck of the woods, Diane (and Barrett's as a matter of fact) when I'm in North America next time, in hopes of maybe getting some hands on instruction from you guys (or just the possibility of shadowing).
This is truly intriguing stuff and trying them out on fellow students has been a very interesting experience...
Edit: Have you ever done workships overseas, as in Europe?Last edited by MaxG; 21-12-2011, 11:40 PM.

Paula,
If you can manage the airfare, (and don't mind a full house vibe,) you can crash at my place no problem. I'm sure we can find a spot for you. Fred's clinic is a 20-25 minute drive from my place.Carol Lynn Chevrier LMT

Max,
I've been in London, but not to teach. Several invitations have not panned out. Maybe one day I'll get one that does.
I seem contractually obligated to avoid speaking to other therapists about therapy wherever I have worked. Talking about our relatives, shopping and food is encouraged however.

Max,
I was sort of kidding. My "colleagues" quickly grow fearful of any therapy talk that does not include complete submission to their opinions and stories of their experience that include interpretations that have little or nothing to do with reality.
Of course, they never read so they have to make reality up as they go along. Someone like me is quickly marginalized. Where I'm working now a couple of the staff refer to me as "the professor."
It's an insult.Barrett L. Dorko

I recently had one colleague ask where I went for intellectual stimulation, several answers crossed my mind - eventually I simply said here
ANdy"Here is Edward Bear coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it." A.A. Milne
