    In keeping with the nursing home theme of late...

    Lately in Canada there has been a rash of elderly nursing home residents clubbing other residents to death with their canes. There isn't enough supervision. Each care provider has to look after 30 residents, plus take care of the enormous paper stream on each.

    Very sad and true...in the US the prison system is a private corporate entity, paid for by governmental contracts. Medicare is a government provided health insurance. As taxpayers we pay for both and should have a say in where our money goes, but alas...
    hope it's better in Canada
