Default Selves

There has been some discussion in the past about selves and I think it's interesting. Sandeep Gautam maintains a productive blog (The Mouse Trap) that considers all kinds of topics that are likely of interest to readers here in general.

In particular, some participants here have an interest in our sense of self or even selves. To those folks, check out Splitting the self: "me" and "I" and Five kinds of self/self knowledge.

And in consideration of the recent interest expressed in kids and kid related stuff, here is a post about the development of infant consciousness.

Wow, thanks for introducing this set of posts here. It's all fascinating. I'm in the middle of juggling, sorting, meeting with, placating, and hoping to integrate several inner selves these days (OK, always, but more strenuously these days), and am glad my acute awareness of them isn't a sign of pathology. I'm going to follow Sandeep Gautman now that I know about him. So much cheaper than psychotherapy - find someone who knows more about something than I do and just stick with reading and going to the gym.
