I saw this on the Skeptico blog. You can go to this link, then move around the surface of the moon and see where various moon missions landed. Zoom all the way in to see a good closeup. From this link you can download google earth and zoom in to closely inspect any neighbourhood. Wait, isn't this actually spy technology? Wait again, so were microcameras at one time.

Thanks Diane,

I'm now lurking on the private pool of J.W Bush  .

Here is my place found with Google Earth.

It's amazing it is possible to see my blue car on the car park close to the office.

Google earth is fun, but it never shows me the details I want - they are all poor resolution. Only certain places are detailed enough to show buildings, and that annoys me. I can't get to see any detail for any of Vancouver Island or Patagonia/Antarctica, or the Pacific Islands..but certain military/political areas are spot on. Our house is actually in good detail, (is Big Brother watching?) and so is Hawaii. Oh well...I'm sure Washington DC is in fine detail as well.

Spying on the world is another 'benefit' of globalisation, I guess, or global villaging.
