Hi SomaSimplers,

Here is the Virtual walking I'm using with lumbar problems. (But may be used with lower limb problems).

Must be done slowly.

Repeat this one 10/15 times on each side.

Sometimes it helps to find some root problems and you may find a hard spot while moving (reaching the painful zone of the nerve).

Hi Bernard :

Good topic , Actually , i meet several cases of post- orthopedic lower limbs , i believe the limbing and gait disorders due to pathological movements of certain joints of the limb .

For example ,A case of post Ankle - Cast , the degrees of dorsi and planter flexions are limited , so that the gait my be affected .

Even , if the ranges of motion of different joints ar fully aquired ( within normal ) , I think the long period of cast / limited normal motion could affect the gait .

So that in these cases , I ask the consumer to walk in stationary with high degrees of hip, knee and ankle flexion , and to perform that in walking as training to correct abnormal/pathological movements.

In case of low back pain , I believe it is a get procedure but in limits of pain to avoid pain flaring up , as well it is a type of neural gliding.

cheers
