Attention, awareness, focusing must not be seen as an multiplication of inputs but merely more by a facilitation of inputs.
Many researchers say that is an inhibition of an inhibition. It acts like a volume knob but we have many automatic knobs and only 2 hands so we can turn only few at the time.
If we let one, it come back to the previous volume.
