SOMASIMPLE WORDS OF DECEMBER
Hello members,
Some news and announces from your discussion forums:
We have created more sections and news forums.
The WWW (Wild Wise World) is a new sections composed of three forums, the well known Rubbish Cube, The Wind Rose (news from others forums in the world), and a hidden one; The Director's Cuts.
The PPP section, was based on an idea of Nari. The Persistent Pain Problems forums are dedicated for chronic pain patients.
We completely renewed The Best Evidences and created a complete section with forums which may help readers to find more quickly their references.
The Sound Of Silence presents more files to read. Remember to ask Moderators or Administrator to get a full access to this private section.
We planned to enhance the website with more user defined choices and navigability. We added more security to the board to avoid spamming and trolls.
We want to add foreign forums to improve the internationality of SomaSimple and we are seeking for Italian, German, Spanish... Moderators. Just tell us if the job keeps your interest!
Remember that you're doing the site living with your subjects and replies.
Feel free to ask and propose subject.
SomaSimple Team

I forgot to post the letter of March!
This letter is not really done every month but... I'm busy :?
Hello SomaSimplers,
2004 ended with the biggest catastrophe that Asia never had had before. It must remind us that we are living on a dangerous but marvellous planet. Some heaven places have, also, some hidden traps and the cost is ever too high for these affected families.
A world mutual assistance took normally place and we hope that the reconstruction will be made in the best conditions.
In this beginning of 2005, SomaSimple has already made some changes;
The first change is of course the home page of the site:
http://www.somasimple.com
We added a new skin/template to the forums and that one brings new features, like a scrolling list of the last topics. We added new pages on the site that are faster to reach and collect some essential information for you;
1/ The Wind Rose page is a list of some appreciated forums.
http://www.somasimple.com/wind_rose.htm
2/ The Pharos of Alexandria is an index of forum content. You may take a look at your favourite authors by a simple click.
http://www.somasimple.com/pharos_alpha.htm
3/ The Sound of Silence has its own one and its brings up to you the complete list of recent papers/abstracts only available to registered users. This list is normally protected by a user name and password. Do not forget to ask for them.
http://www.somasimple.com/private/sos_alpha.htm
4/ We added for your pleasure and efficiency a page with direct links to your favourite online journals. We may add some new ones with your wishes and needs!
http://www.somasimple.com/online_journals.htm
5/ and more to come... And don't forget that SomaSimple is only one year old. Members give it life and permit its functional growth.
We planned to add yet more new features that will enhance your board and give you more chances to find the knowledge you're seeking for!
Feel free to ask, share and criticise! Knowledge is a moving thing and it's only moving with you.

Hello All SomaSimplers,
Welcome to our new members, chunkypuffin, beary123, chirotherapyofla, shilp12, gray163, apensity, prophysio, Nelson, ChetPT, baskar, tesmaiste, suchu, frazpt, janimughal, ClaraBasel, bdavies, cumulus, seenathgafoor, sul541, nevill, dragonfire, jayne.potter@berkshire.nh, simonlau555,David Jodrey, Anibal Scharovsky, wezza, Jyotsna, Soma_Master (it's another clone), mackey_julie, neuron, steve2005, Marykolb, norah, leanPT, sunilkumarb, melinashka (my daughter), tameem, hksslmspt, Burnsys,Chris Davia (Thanks Chris!), slopoke, karthikduraisami, test (yes, it is a virtual member!), sravan, broady, Boopathi, natalie1, Janster, husny, rsder, waleedtawfiq, genegvarghese, Damien (a french PT Student), cedric (Yes, he is the one you think about!), (a French PT also moderator of the French Forums), kesavan, Barrett Dorkobeegeuga, wkyagnes, rajeshchithran, gdham, claloyaux, cardiacsimulator, dhaval and oesenov.
The forums were replaced with a new software that brings more features. Just come on and try it. You'll be able to upload directly files and pictures. The board is now more friendly and I planned to enhance it to the next generation in a few.
This letter gives all the place to the moderators: I wanted that they write some words about SomaSimple and hopes for its future:
Nari wrote:
I can't recall if the Journals Online gets many readers and lurkers - but I think it is valuable, even if some of the full texts are not available. I spend time looking at least seven of them, and it prompts me to post things here and other forums.
I even found one that Diane would like - a study of the skin of the lower lip of a rat demonstrating the sensitivity of the receptors in a painful state.
(neuroscience letters, 9 Dec 2005, authors Grelick, Allard & Ribeiro-Siva.)
So I recommend a push for Journals Online: something along the lines of 'Have a look, you never know what you'll find' or even less corny than that.
Also a push for registering AND posting, no matter how benign or contraversial the post might be. It will always be answered. I guess, too, a reminder that we are an openminded lot and discussion is always welcome.
And Diane this piece:
Not sure what I could say that isn't already covered... how about this?
"This is the only board I've seen where all the threads that pertain to any given topic are listed and linkable at the bottom of each and every thread on that topic. It's a big time-saver; it gives the selective reader/poster a great deal of convenience. A search has automatically been done by the board and is built-in."
About their hopes:
Diane:
None that I can articulate just now. You are such a capable provider, Bernard, that I often only notice the changes and how convenient they are, long after they've already been put into place, like that thread finder feature. Most of the people I have spoken with off board, about this board, find it amazingly advanced and well-built, elegant, smooth. It's the smooth-handling Ferrari of physio boards coupled with the reliability of a Chevrolet that can still operate while chugging on one lone cylinder.
And Nari:
Hopes and future changes? Well, it would be good to attract a few more North America, UK and Australian physios, but I'm not sure how and where to put the honeypots. Re changes - it seems to operate very broadly and smoothly at present, with a lively neurological thread. Can't think of any more changes, but I'm sure you will, Bernard!
