I was told the story of Plato's Allegory of the Cave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegory_of_the_cave) over lunch today. It's worth thinking about how it applies to our own beliefs about therapy. It took me a while, but I eventually remembered I had heard it before in The Matrix and Me (http://www.barrettdorko.com/articles/matrix_and_me.htm). As you might now expect, there are numerous artistic (and not so artistic) interpretations of the story on the web. I thought this one was OK so I'll stick it here for future reference.

In the Wiki link it says that Socrates had a brother Glaucon which apparently means bright eyed or something similar. Interesting that a medication for glaucoma (http://www.vastrx.com/druginfo/glaucon_glaucoma_eye_medicine_epi_type_00998024910.htm) (or tunnel vision) is called Glaucon.
I guess drug companies like Greek stories (speaking of people liking stories (http://www.somasimple.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5692)... finding them compelling, etc.. :))
