Check out my new site:
www.exercisebiology.com
Would help to get some feedback about the articles.
Thanks!
Anoop
Anoop, nicely done. Only have time for a brief look - nice clean site! Tidy and well-organized info.
Just saw one little thing:
Under the table in the active warm-up, you say:
Table: Some of the benefits of warm up are blamed on these specific effects.
Maybe better to use the word credited than blamed.

Anoop,
Your webpage looks very good and the references are excellent. I am learning Therapeutic Exercise in school right now and I will tell my classmates to check out your site. From my initial browse there are many things that are new and useful to me.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate it very much.
Best regards,
Karen.

Didn't want to start a new topic just for my site. Jason did that for me. Thanks Jason.
Hi Bas,
Thanks. I will change it. I sometimes try to say things in a different way. At times it doesnt work very well.
Hi Karen,
Thank you. That will be really nice. I have a quite a few articles planned out.
Though I haven't included any references for the beginner articles, I do get most of the info from journals. Even for the warm up article, I had to refer couple of studies and reviews to make sure I dint miss anything or was saying something totally wrong.
Hi Matt,
I sometimes write in the ACE fitness forum and I totally agree with you. When I had the Advanced section, I had all those trainers in mind.
I had to learn everything from scratch to get that site up. I learned Dreaweaver, photoshop and other stuff to get it up and running. Thanks everyone about the site apperance. I put in alot of thought abt the color combination and how to emphasis things which I want to.
I would love to get some feedback about the artciles. I really care abt making my articles more readable and useful. So anything like too long, not practical, or not organized well, or if there a better way to convey or present an idea that would be great.
Also dont forget to register in the forum if you have any questions!!
Thanks
Anoop
Great site Anoop. Thanks for sharing.

Anoop,
If you go to your "user CP", you can change your signature to include a link to your site. See the signature line of Barrett's, Diane's and Nick's posts for examples of what I'm talking about.

Your site looks great Anoop. :)
I'm glad you put the white text on a grey background instead of plain black - much easier to read.
Looks like excellent carefully thought-out content. Nice work.

Thanks Nick.
I added one Jon. Thanks for the tip. Also how do I remove that underline in my signature?
Thanks Diane. It's not really white. It's really a lighter blue.White still looks bright as sun on a black background.

You won't be able to if it's a link.

I have updated my website. Felt like it was a bit too dark and had some usabilty issues. Also now has comments for each article.
Pls let me know what you think and if it is working right.
Thanks

Hi Anoop,
It looks very well-organized, and of course, easier to read with dark text on a white background. It probably would have been fine to have some kind of color in the background (just for interest), but it's good if it's a light color - dark text on light background is always easier on the eyes, especially middle-aged eyes. :)

I see you've changed it so it's not a link anymore. If you make it a link again you can add this to your css file:
p#id a { text-decoration: none; }
Alternatively write this:
<p id="copyright"><a href="" style="text-decoration: none;">© 2008 Anoop Balachandran</a></p>

Thanks Diane.
It takes me a long time to decide on a color and I will never finish it. So I just went for white. And I will be changing it in the future. And the font is a light black instead of true black. Its a bit too much contrast with the regular black and white.
I am havibng problems with different web browsers.Should have worked on it before putting it out. Mozilla and safari doesnt show the same as IE.
Hi Oljoha
I meant the signature in the forum, not on my website. Thanks though
Mozilla and safari doesnt show the same as IE.
I had the same problem initially with my website. I'm not sure what was done to fix it. Bernard likely would know.

Finally fixed it in Mozilla. Had to rewrite some HTML & css codes. It's now even W3C XHTML and CSS validated!

That's the one of the things I have in mind. Have a "Sites I Like" links. And you are very welcome to post in my forum and have your link there.
