This book is one that Karen Lines, our new super librarian, has recommended.
Functional Neuroanatomy of Pain (Advances in Anatomy, Embryology and Cell Biology (http://www.amazon.com/Functional-Neuroanatomy-Advances-Anatomy-Embryology/dp/3540281622/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1209246094&sr=8-1)

It's from 2006, so fairly recent. :)
I've sampled a few pages. Wow, I just might be finally able to get neuropeptides straight finally. I like that it has embryology in there too.

Diane,

I can't find much more on this one other than it is from 1996. I'd like to see chapter 18; Are there still indications for destructive neurosurgey at supraspinal levels for relief of painful syndromes. and 19 too; Motor cortext stimulation for deafferentation pain relief in various clinical syndromes and its possible mechanism.

Amazon ca good price. Not available at Amazon.com.

I just did a google scholar search on above boook. Lots of great stuff to track down. I gonna let my fingers do the walking and I'll post anything good.

Karen.
