lumbar sympathectomy

I have a patient who had a lumbar sympathectomy done for pain in the buttock, right leg and groin. She has reduced sensation in the lower extremities. Has anyone any experience of side-effects of this procedure or any knowledge of the resultant changes in perception of feeling?:)

I've only seen one of these, which was done for Raynaud's disease. The patient's whole leg was always deathly cold to touch, but she felt better.
