Did someone can help me plz.

Hi Lin,

I'm an ignorant about this technique but I found these papers for you.
I had no time to read them for the moment;
Just type taping in PubMed.

Hi fapt,
I l-o-v-e kinesio tape. I use it as my first choice intervention on myself if I develop pain, and have worked out lots of ways to tape that are easy and minimal but effective. There is a study I found from Albequerque, US, that you can find if you just google "kinesio tape". It's pdf, so I can't post a link unfortunately.

The researchers taped lower legs in the way outlined in the manual and tested proprioception, on 10 or 12 patients. Their testing indicated that peoples' proprioception wasn't improved by the tape. But these were normals, not patients. Also, perhaps the techniques were too rigidly adherent to what was in the manual. I noticed in the Athens Olympics that many of the athletes were taped with kinesio tape, the Chinese in particular, swimmers and gymnasts, but also other teams, beach volleyball players with tape around their knees, weightlifters with their deltoids taped.. a performance enhancing substance that's legal!?

http://www.somasimple.com/forums3/viewtopic.php?t=498 This link goes to a forum further down, a description of an experience I had with a persistant pain patient just last week. It is my conviction that the tape really helped her proprioception. And her fear of pain melted away at the same time.
Cheers,
Diane

Hi All,

It's pdf, so I can't post a link unfortunately.

You can provide a pdf link coming from the net. We provide such links on Somasimple. Open it on your browser and then copy the link displayed!

My browser has a download manager which immediately sucks the pdf into my computer and no link is ever displayed. I have to open the pdf from the manager, cannot from a link. It's a bit of a pain. I will send you it as a file Bernard, maybe you can link it here somehow.
