Some interesting findings from Stuart McGill's work on exercise balls reported in todays National Post. Popular Ball Suffers Fall (http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/news/artslife/story.html?id=2829e892-fddd-426e-a6aa-2841a5c89c37)

I think the ball has merit in providing novel stimuli, as well as some balance/proprioceptive value.
It will be around for a long time, I think, because people find it fun to play with.

I love swiss balls but I really dislike the way I usually see them being used. Sitting bicep curls? Why?
I wonder about the whole pushup on a ball thing in the study though. I wonder if they mean placing the feet on the stability ball or placing the hands on the stability ball when doing pushups. I doubt if there is much difference for the former but there is a great deal of difference for the latter.
