Hi all.
I have a 69 yrs. old man postabdominal surgery wt. bi-basal atelectasis,he is obease, chronic smoker, his temp. is shoot up in night.
How can i plan his treatment from day 1?
My assessment :Absent breath sounds over the collapsed area,Tachypnea,Cynosis,Decreased movement over affected area.
Goals: Plan:
1)Re-inflate collapsed area of lung Postural drainage, percussion.vibration
for removal of secretion
2)increase respiratory capacity Segmental breathing,splinting,spirometry
What is your opinion?

Regards,
