I was browsing through a new issue of Discover, and "discovered" two artists that were covered in the issue:

1. Bathsheba Grossman (http://www.bathsheba.com/) makes mathematically formulated space-occupying metal sculptures that are minimalist and quite gorgeous,
2. Laura Splan (http://www.laurasplan.com/) - lots of different things here in the portfolio page, but check out the doilies based on viral structures. Very cool.

Bathesba is a great fan of Esher (as am I - see my avatar :D ). And I love the stuff she makes - saw it in Discover for the first time as well. Very clean lines yet deeply intriguing and strangely meditative. I can say I like virtually every single one! Thanks for the link Diane!
