Since there seemed to be some interest in microtubules I thought I'd start a separate thread for people to post their thoughts and internet finds.

I think a good place to start the exploration of microtubules is with some basic information. Wikipedia has its limitations but I think it is a reasonable place to start.

Jon, thanks for this. However I am lying low (very low) at present with a pleuritic virus and may not 'do' anything for some days......

Just tell the virus to leave and add, "don't let the alpha subunit hit you in the butt on the way out".

That was my completely bizarre way of saying get well. Hope the symptoms are minimal.

Hi jon
What's the alpha subunit? I have short windows of being able to to breathe normally (eg not RR35 and penthouse breathing)...and I'm just checking the posts quickly.

Nari,
Hope you'll be "on your feet" very quickly.
But the virus "Solanaceae N. tabacum" is known to be very agressive with lungs.

A good article (in a series - I just picked one page) indirectly related to microtubules:

Nari, ditto what Bernard said in post #5. And I hope you feel better soon.
Bas, I hadn't seen Chris Davia's paper in awhile. :)
Good to see it again.

Thanks for the solicitations, guys.
At present input is high and output is like the bottom of a sump...
