Hi all;
When i google that vocublary ,most of the results are related to researches and experiments performed using electrical stimulation of the cortex , as if the concept we try to introduce of Nervous System Modulation via our suggesations does NOT exist .
At wiki ,here you are concerning NeuroModulation :
In neuroscience, Neuromodulation is the process in which several classes of neurotransmitters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurotransmitters) in the nervous system regulate diverse populations of neurons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurons). As opposed to direct synaptic transmission (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synapse) in which one presynaptic neuron directly influences a postsynaptic partner, neuromudulatory transmitters secreted by a small group of neurons diffuse through large areas of the nervous system, having an effect on multiple neurons. Some neuromodulatory transmitters are dopamine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dopamine), serotonin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin), acetylcholine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetylcholine), histamine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histamine) and others.
Neuromodulation also refers to a medical procedure used to alter nervous system function for relief of pain. It consists primarily of electrical stimulation, lesioning of specific regions of the nervous system, or infusion of substances into the cerebrospinal fluid. Electrical stimulation are devices such as Spinal Cord Stimulators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinal_Cord_Stimulator) (SCS) (surgically implanted) or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcutaneous_Electrical_Nerve_Stimulator) (TENS) (external device).

intransitive verb
1 : to play or sing with modulation (http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/modulation)
2 : to pass from one musical key into another by means of intermediary chords or notes that have some relation to both keys
3 : to pass gradually from one state to another
So We do NOT have clear meaning/concept for our NeuroModulation ! What does it mean for us ??
Cheers
