I find this case is really usefull to discuss....
my client is 29 years old( sorry young!!!!) had an RTA followed by # on right femur which was fixed by ORIF and left leg had multiple fracture leads to hemipelvectomy and he had perforated wounds on his abdomen which worsen his condition leads to colostomy bag for removal. His current mobility with elbow crutches and able to negotiate stairs with someone minimal assistance.
Does anyone has come across with hemipelvectomy and do they got any prosthetics? iam wondering when there's no stump how do they fit a prosthetics?
