Hi Somasimplers,

The members list of forums are full of resources?

Here, on Somasimple, we try to relieve pain but in England some PT find another direction?

Oh dear

Is S&M alive and well in Birmingham?
I wonder what PPA thought about this one...

Hello Nari,

Two ways of thinking there?
1/ S&M is really installed in Birmingham.
2/ a pilot trial to reduce the cost of health programs? (since the patients may not want to continue the sessions).

From what I hear, there a many patients who have experienced severe pain at the hands of physios - we can be rather sadistic, I think, when the patient's outcomes are not as fast as we think they should be.

I have some real horror tales from patients over the years - and they do not talk about doctors in the same way (even though the doctors do not touch them).

One woman recently said she had to steel herself and take huge quantities of analgesic before attending physio. She was in pain for two days, then just starting to improve when the next visit came up.
She did this for 6 MONTHS.

I asked her "Why?" and she said: " the doctor and I thought it would help.'...

Where is common sense and physiotherapy? Not always connected to the right platform, it seems..

In US, the board is full of sexy trolls =>

I found about 24 of these ones on this board!

I agree with Nari, PT is the perfect place for Sex and S&M!

Diane,
You reminded my old souvenirs when I was a young PT in...1978. :x

The moderators need to clean up their boards.

Diane,

You are right but I'm not sure they'll do it!

1/ If you remove a such member, you lose a member.
2/ Some boards suppose that having many members is a guarantee of success.
3/ Some boards hide the members' list but who can tell us that there is no such trolls.

4/ Somasimple shows (poll) for the moment the list and I removed a troll on your advice. We lose a member but he wasn't one!

I guess it's up to them.. but perhaps they don't check regularly. Once you are an administrator, the housekeeping duties need attention! Allowing obvious and malicious trolls to squat on your bb with material that is clearly irrelevant or profane or obscene, lowers the tone, IMHO!

Diane,

You're are right. As a site Admin, it is a hard job but I get a such power in my hands!

I found another dangerous category => the ignorant

This one is half guilty since he said he knows nothing about!
Perhaps a bit mischievous of my own?

Sounds fairly genuine, not a troll, just a bewildered-sounding person trying to make contact with the world and perhaps save some time by seeking some guidance, and practicing being a poster. Hasn't formed any opinions yet, nothing to "contribute"..

Yes Diane,

Guenine and young certainly. But with some courage to post a such phrase?

But, we know now that Neurology is a such complex thing, very far from what I learnt in 1976!
