http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnacle
Barnacles often attach themselves to human-made structures, sometimes to the structure's detriment. In particular to ships, they are classified as fouling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biofouling) organisms. ;)
That is a perfect definition for me.
Bernard
WHY are you a barnacle??:confused:
What do you think you have done? :confused:
Barnacles hang onto the ship's keel; you are in the Captain's cabin.

That is a perfect definition for me.
The confusion came from the for?
What was the good word to use? to?

Hi Bernard,
I'm not a perfectionist but I probably would have said; 'I think it's an accurate definition'.
There are more colloquial ways of saying the same thing like;
I agree with that
spot on!
in a nutshell
The way you said it 'That is a perfect definition for me' makes other people think that you are likening yourself to a barnacle!
I hope this is useful - I'm not trying to be picky

It's a good way of learning. I have some problem with the "to, for, from" occurrences.
