I assessed a patient with stab wound just posterior aspect of the left shoulder , i found :
1-Weakness of all muscles innervated by the median nerve .
2- Weakness of all muscles innervated by the ulnar nerve .
3- The radial nerve innnervated muscles are spared
The injury happened since 30 days , the surgeon reffered the patient to physio , there is sever pain tenderness surrounding the inury area .
My question ;
I tried to review my neuroanatomy , to find out really , could the whole brachial plexus be injuried from the posterior aspect ,do you think this is reasonable?I asked the patient , he replied the injury was so deep
