Hi SomaSimplers,

I bought this book for my wife as Christmas gift. I found the pictures amazing... My wife loves painting, Nature... and colours.

Bernard, what a great gift! Being a mountain freak, and seeing the photo of the Hawaiian Islands with the scree and lava flow from Kilauea disappearing into the ocean, I thought this is a must-have book!

Nari,

I received the book this morning and have some few hours to get it for my own eyes. :shade:.

It is a must read and it's with such pictures that I feel human condition is so... great.

You're so right there, Bernard..it has to be one of the most spectacular islands in the world. The colours are unbelievable; nature at its best and most primitive.

Somehow I am going to get there....one way or the other!

I have four books on Island, one of which is in Icelandic - so I have no idea what is being said, but that doesn't matter much. However I am trying to pick up on some words and pronunciation at present.

There is an English version of this one.
Some pictures look great, mysterious and colours... incredible like this blue waterfall.

The first picture is Hawai's islands, the second was took in Iceland.
