Hi SomaSimplers,
Some non members told me that it was a bit boring all along posts to see quotes and such things (my face). :o
Well, it is certainly true and I will listen to this.
I will put my favourites in this thread. You may put yours, too.

Gone with the wind! Clark Gable I met a physicist (he worked with Charpak and De Gennes) this morning who told me that the site was great but he was bored by the repeat of our quotes at the end of the posts.
He said that seeing my face like that was'nt a good thing and pushes some readers in the idea that we are fastidious persons.
This wise old man (76) has certainly some truth in his words?

The physicist said that all these things were unknown for him.
And said it was easy to take such unverifiable theories to create improbable links and incredible results.

I must say that sometimes I'm a very fastidious person and very boring!:thumbs_do
Bernard :
I searhed for the meaning for the word fastidious, to find
a : having high and often capricious standards : difficult to please <critics... so fastidious that they can talk only to a small circle of initiates -- Granville Hicks> b : showing or demanding excessive delicacy or care c : reflecting a meticulous, sensitive, or demanding attitude <fastidious workmanship>
3 : having complex nutritional requirements <fastidious microorganisms
what do you mean exactly , i do not find any thing boring here on somasimple .

Emad,
My English dictionnary online Babylon says:
pédant: pedant, meticulous person, fastidious person
what do you mean exactly , i do not find any thing boring here on somasimple.
It is just for myself. The physicist thought it would be less pedant about my behaviour because I do not take the time to explain things and often affirms definite truths.
Interesting comments! I figured there was a reason I did not want my face on the forum...but did not really know why.:shade:
Fastidious..? I find that puzzling, it means to me a person bordering on OCD, maybe, or an obsessed housewife..can't see any of that on SS.
However, quotes on signatures MAY annoy some fastidious folk...;)
but I like it. Especially if the quote changes every so often.
Bernard, you may be fastidious (I don't know) but NEVER boring. You flow through the threads like a river of white water and most of us struggle to keep our rafts afloat and every now and then get tipped over in the rapids. (Well, I do anyway):note:
I'll think some more about quotes today.
